Beautifully unique, a poem for Natalie by Tracy Diane Miller

What is that dark shadow
That hovers near I see
An ever present cloud of doubt
That seeks to cover me

Mocking me
Its voice an ugly sound
I fight to quiet its roar
Why is it always around

I wish that I could see the real me
So beautifully unique
The woman that others see
The woman that others seek

I am Natalie
I am beautifully unique
I no longer run
I am the dream I should seek
