My Muse remembers, a poem for @leshagen by Tracy Diane Miller

Once we were strangers
Then Fate felt the desire
To connect us in friendship
You became a friend for whom I admire

My Muse was never shy
My Muse remembers it is true
Of the moments I felt blessed
Of the compassion that gift from you

My Muse remembers
The tears that often flow
When my heart was weighed down
By the burden of sorrow
Most people would never know

My Muse remembers
How you believed in me
As the architect of my dream
How you wanted me to find joy
That might have eluded me so it seems

My Muse remembers
The poems that I wrote for you
A verse carved throughout the night
My Muse remembers the gratitude I feel
Your friendship is a cherished delightful
