Compassion does not wear a mask, a poem for Jared Padalecki by Tracy Diane Miller

Compassion does not hide
Compassion does not wear a mask
Compassion is there when you most need it
You never have to ask
Some days are the hardest
To handle with courage and grace
Compassion does not hide
For it is yours to always embrace
You try to be strong
Yet you are human so forgive yourself
When you are unable to succeed
Compassion does not hide
For it is yours whenever you need
Poetry is my truth
Poetry is my voice both day and night
You can’t see me
But please feel my words
Born of compassion
As I write
I am not invisible
You can’t see me
But please know that I care
You can’t see me
Yet I will always write a poem for you
To quiet your despair
