Another new poem that I just wrote for Donna Jacobs. My Muse is so inspired by Donna. The words are flowing effortlessly:

A glorious phoenix, a poem for Donna Jacobs by Tracy Diane Miller

A sickness you desperately fought
Compassion you rightly sought
The mistakes that told the tale
The resiliency that helped you prevail
Even during your lowest moment
Like into a fire a phoenix goes
But God gives the questions and answers
Your destiny He already knows
God saw in you
A glorious phoenix
From sorrow you would learn
And the respect and admiration of others
You most certainly have earned
