Diana, a poem #InmemoryofPrincessDiana by Tracy Diane Miller

Noble by birth
A royal she became
Yet her compassionate spirit
Touched everyone all the same
Behind a shy smile
Behind her own pain
Her beautiful soul she shared
The whole world gained
A child’s tears
She soothed
With a mere touch
The downtrodden who suffered
Whose misery we may willingly forget
She showed love
Compassion without regret
Nineteen years ago today
The entire world mourned
We lost our People’s Princess
Our suffering
Our hearts were torn
Through her legacy
Through her sons
Princes William and Harry
Continue the work she had begun
The candle in the wind
Love was her art
With thoughts of Diana
A Queen in our hearts
